“Palle” named after Paolo Papini. He was a worker for the estate and lived in this house above the community oven. The oven was used to bake bread and the use of it was shared among all the families. First thing you would use it to bake bread. Then some families would dry tomaotes and nuts or figues. In the evening they would prepare the meringue with egg white and sugar. A lower temperature was needed in this case. This is an example to show us how our people were efficient with energy saving!
