Would Castello di Gargonza be a good destination for a multigenerational holiday in Tuscany? Organizing a family holiday with a multi-generation group is of course something special but challenging at the same time. Immerged in the daily routine, with family members living spread out in various countries, there is not much of a chance to be together for some time.

So this kind of holiday is of course a special moment for the whole family but we are no longer used to live with grandparents, small children, always. You need to combine various needs according to the age of each one of the members who are most happy to stay together but need their privacy at the same time.

Castello di Gargonza has been a community since many generations and especially during the agricultural period it gave shelter to the families that worked for the farming estate and for their landlords. The sense of community has remained even with a restored village, leaving all common areas once used for agricultural purposes, to the new touristic destination Gargonza was undertaking. That is why today the accommodations in Gargonza are of different size. We have suite for two people or family suite with more rooms and shared living area in order to please each different family affinities. Each member has it’s own room but they can share common areas, gardens and swimming pool.

Get everyone involved and find their needs

In Gargonza we can organize various activities and experiences. You can go from a wine tasting to an historic tour of the village or a cooking class. For an outdoor experience you can book an ebike tour which will perhaps please the younger ones and organize a guided wine tour with a private van with driver around the rolling hills of Chianti Classico or Brunello di Montalcino. During the truffle season (March- June- November) we can organize also some truffle hunt. For those interested in history and art, Gargonza is in a very strategic position to visit the historic cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo, Cortona but also the off the bitten track medieval villages like Monte San Savino or Lucignano which are in Val di Chiana.
