The Fattore was an important figure in the organization of the farm estate. He was the manager of the estate. He was the figure who linked the landlord with the tenants. Also his house was phisically placed between the Villa where the landord lived and the Olive Mill room, where the farmers gathered not only for pressing the olives but also where a to wash clothes.
